Our mission at Bron Hospital was born from a partnership with the association “AMIS des MALADES pour l’ENSEIGNEMENT (A.A.M.E)” (Friends of the sick for teaching) and the Bron Mother Child Women’s Hospital.
Our goal is to ensure the continuity of the interrupted schooling, for an indeterminate time, of children and adolescents in the Neuropathology department of Bron Hospital.
“Continuing your studies while caring” is the goal of our mission.
Twice a week, students go to meet these children, most of them between the ages of 10 and 16, with a threefold goal:
- Reconciling them with school life and their sometimes negative image towards teachers
- Give them back their self-confidence
- Maintaining and preserving a school and cultural environment
This includes academic support (ranging from math classes to dictation, conversations in English, games, etc.) or cultural conversations, our key words being flexibility and adaptation.
